"Derek Loadholtz was my State Farm agent for 2 yrs. In October of 2025, I discovered they changed the principal driver on my husband's truck, from my husband to my 22 year old son. My son has NEVER driven the truck. It was my husband's; his transportation back & forth to work. When I switched to State Farm, I did the right thing by telling them of my licensed children who lived in my home. I was told my son had to be "assigned to a vehicle" if he were to drive. He was NEVER to be the principal driver of a truck he NEVER drove. Someone from STATE FARM made this change which caused my premium to be significantly higher. I do not work for State Farm and could not have made thua change. They did not want to accept responsibility. They instead, claimed it was my responsibility to INSPECT my renewal policy. I told Derek, that I look at the deductible, coverage, and premium. I didn't realize I needed to verify that State Farm may have changed my principal driver's around. Derek was insisting that State Farm had done it & not "someone from his office." After pressing, he finally acknowledged that someone from his office could have done it. Also, my son has had his own car for nearly two years and is the principal driver of his car. Also interesting, my husband was NOT listed as a principal driver on any car. His name was listed on his insurance card. Derek never even offered the two words," I'm sorry." Their error whether intentional or human error, cost me a lot of money. Theyve lost me as a customer. I've cancelled my home owners insurance and car insurance on four cars. I was overcharged but in the end, they've lost so much more. I had Geico for nearly 30 years. UPDATE: It's unfortunate that Derek's response is very misleading. The fact is that once State Farm removed my son as the principal driver & replaced it with my husband, the correct principal driver, the premium went down from 185.08 to 140.89. If everything was correct for driver rating & exposure, why the payment drop?"
"It's unfortunate that I can't explicitly describe details of customer interactions, policy history and the specifics of driver assignment in a response to an online review. Be that as it may I will say your issue was referred to the underwriting team involved as soon as you notified my office of your concerns and after they reviewed your policy history, they determined the rating was correct for your situation and driver exposure. I get that the underwriter's response is not what you wanted to hear but that was their response to your request for a review of the driver rating."

"I have always trusted State Farm for my car insurance. For years my family has had them for car insurance & home owner insurance & when the hurricanes destroyed our homes over the years they were right there to give us an estimate of the damages & interior damages.There's a lot of insurance companies out there that take your premiums each month & then don't want to compensate you for your homes worth. So that's why I will stick with State Farm Insurance."

Visiting their office was like visiting friends, and they went far beyond the normal customer/business relationship. "He told me I would have the opportunity to keep my 94 GM truck, that the adjuster won't total it. Well they did, after I told him! That I do not want the truck Totalled!
